Summer Club: Fun and Education in Ahmednagar Villages

📅 April 20, 2017 • 📍 Ahmednagar

Sr. Collette Gonsalves, in collaboration with her Social Workers, organized a Summer Club for underprivileged children in four Ahmednagar villages: Jehur, Shivacha mala, Ujini Pimplegoan, and Don Bosco Colony, running from April 20 to May 2, 2017. The program was supported by Mrs. Vijaya Kedari, the CSR Coordinator of Crompton Company, who served as the Chief Guest and resource person. Following a prayer service and cultural program, Mrs. Kedari emphasized the importance of enjoying the moment while learning for the future, practicing gratitude, and utilizing opportunities wisely. Social Workers led various activities, including flower making, Karate, prayer songs, action songs, games, and dances. A picnic, sponsored by a parent, included fun, water games, and lunch. Additional donors also sponsored the club. On the final day, Mrs. Kedari organized an entertaining puppet show through Snehalaya Child line (NGO), which delivered an important message on child protection and educated children on seeking help when needed.
