Summer Club at Pushpanjali, Dakor

📅 April 25, 2017 • 📍 Dakor

Pushpanjali organized a Summer Club from April 25 to May 28, 2017, across ten villages, with a five-day program in each village. Three hundred and sixty children participated. The opening ceremony in each village included a short prayer animated by the Sisters and Village Education Programme teachers, in the presence of the Village Sarpanch. Daily activities included fun, games, and crafts (flower and card making, art and craft, water games) and competitions (dance, singing, Mehendi, drawing, essay writing). Input sessions were also conducted on topics such as the Right to Education, Child Protection, Life Skills, Joyful Learning, Career Guidance, and Leadership Training. The children learned and gained knowledge daily. Snacks were distributed every day. On the concluding day, children showcased their talents and presented what they had learned. Winners of the games and competitions were awarded prizes. Village Heads were invited to the final performance; they expressed happiness and appreciation for the Summer Clubs. On May 28, the children performed a thanksgiving program to express gratitude to the Sisters, particularly the Superior Sr. Sunanda Solanki, Sr. Elphina Rodrigues, Sr. Vanita Khristi, and Sr. Pricilla Bhanga, and the teachers who ensured the club was an enjoyable success.
