SHG Workshops and Enrollment in Ahmednagar

Workshops were conducted on June 10 and 15, 2017, for social workers and women from city areas preparing for Self Help Group (SHG) registration to access government facilities. Mr. Sirshath and Mr. Gawahene from the DRD office, and Mr. Vikram Sarghare from the Municipality office, provided information on various schemes and the benefits of SHG registration. Twenty groups have been registered to date. Additionally, on June 13 and 16, 2017, an SHG training session on Book-keeping and Conducting Meetings was organized, with three women from each group participating. Plans are underway to expand efforts to other villages to form new groups and support more women in becoming self-reliant. In related news, two farmers from Shivacha Mala benefited from a government scheme, receiving a pair of bulls, a cart, and various farming implements.
