Child Protection Policy Training in Auxilium - Kasarkod

A three-day training session on Child Protection Policy (CPP) was conducted from June 15 to 17, 2017, for students, teachers, and parents of both the Kannada and English Medium schools at Auxilium - Kasarkod. The session was led by Sr. Moksha Mary Anthonappa and Mr. Praveen Gonsalves. Children were taught songs, informed about child rights, and given practical advice on self-protection. The Child Line number 1098 was emphasized and memorized by the children. Separate, but similar, sessions were held for parents, teachers, and the Community Sisters, raising awareness about the POCSO Act, children's rights, and appropriate actions to take in cases of danger or abuse. Video clippings on child abuse were used to deepen understanding. The mothers expressed gratitude to the resource persons for providing this essential awareness and for the school's commitment to a policy that ensures their children's safety.
