Girl Child Day Celebration at Maria Bhavan

The Girl Child Day celebration was held on September 3, 2017, during the last Maria Bhavan Milan event at the center in Bableshwar, inviting children from the vicinity. Thirty-three children participated. A Universal Prayer song was played during the prayer moment, encouraging the children to persevere even without external support. Self-explanatory posters about the girl child were displayed. Two videos were screened: one on "Meena," highlighting the importance of unity against harmful people, and "Laali," a film depicting the rejection of a girl child and her rescue by her brother. The children were attentive, absorbed the messages, and participated actively in the ensuing discussion. The girls were then honored with a small token and a snack. The event successfully raised awareness among the participants, who left with a renewed commitment to support the girl child.
