Sahayini Meeting with BookMyBai.com on Domestic Worker Placement

On Monday, November 20, 2017, Mr. Rohan Deshpande, representing BookMyBai.com, met with Sr. Moksha Mary (Director - Sahayini), Sr. Roselin Pereira (VTC Coordinator), students from Nirmala Niketan, and Ms. Tenu Daniel. The meeting aimed to understand BookMyBai.com and its services—an online platform for hiring domestic workers that offers full-time and part-time jobs with a salary scale of $5,000$ – $15,000$ INR. The company's head office is in Malad, Mumbai, with regional offices in Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Surat, and Jaipur. Mr. Deshpande reviewed the company's terms and conditions and discussed their demands from workers. They requested Sahayini to train the domestic maids with some life skills. Sahayini offered to help the company find women in need of jobs. Sr. Roseline mentioned she would discuss the project in the Council meeting and potentially sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the future.
