The training gathered 24 participants from Dakor, Pune, Nashik, Wadala, Uttan, and DAHANU. The participants first convened on June 22 at 8:00 PM for an introductory and team-building session. The main training began the next day with an inter-religious peace prayer, animated by the resource person, Sr. Manisha Parmar. The theme for the two-day training was “Transformation of Teachers as Mentors.” The first session, “Education for Social Change,” covered the importance of education and the facilitator's role in youth development. This was followed by a movie on Mahatma Gandhi to illustrate leadership qualities and a discussion on its practical implementation. The second day began with a morning prayer led by Mrs. Fatima D’Souza. Sr. Manisha then conducted a session on "Five Paths for Personal Transformation" and "Ten Action Programs for Social Transformation." Following a viewing and discussion of the movie Iqbal, participants also enjoyed a fun outing to Dahanu beach. At 3:00 PM, a feedback session was conducted. All attendees appreciated the training and expressed a desire for longer, five-day sessions in the future.
