Bal Mela (Children’s Fair) and Awareness Programme in Ahmednagar

📅 December 01, 2017 • 📍 Ahmednagar

The Bal Mela on December 1, 2017, was a wonderful experience for the Neighbourhood Children's Parliament (NCP) and tuition class children from various villages. The day started with an inaugural session, welcoming and felicitating guests with flowers, and was filled with activities, including an Awareness Talk on crucial issues. Mr. Yogesh Mirpagar, Supervisor of Social Ministry – L.V. Niwas, gave an input session on being aware and alert at all times. He used three daily articles—cotton (absorbs everything and becomes heavy), sugar (dissolves and sweetens everything), and alum (truti), a purifier—to encourage children to embody these qualities. Mr. Anil Misal, a Karate instructor, and his team explained the importance of Karate as a means of self-defense against unforeseen dangers. Additionally, ChildLine workers presented a demonstration on how to be cautious and courageous when facing unpleasant situations. Prizes were given to children who had participated in the Diwali celebrations and prepared "Forts." The program ended at 3:30 PM, with the children taking home many essential messages. Thanks were extended to the team and Sahayini SDO for making this significant experience possible.
