Auxilium Community College Nutrition and Environment Camp

The annual Nutrition and Environment camp for Auxilium Community College (ACC) students began on November 22, 2017. Sr. Krupalata Pereira and Sr. Rashmika Macwan animated this three-day camp themed “Save life - Save environment”. The camp inaugurated with Fr. George D’ Britto, SDB, as the Chief Guest, and Guests of Honour Sr. Teresa Plathara and Sr. Lata Arogiaswamy. Fr. George addressed the nursing students. First-year ACC students collected $500$ rupees each to purchase the required articles and food grains for the camp. The students divided the work, cooking and working in the garden as part of the environment theme. They fully enjoyed the camp and gave themselves generously to their entrusted work. Each day, students cooked different dishes which were judged by the sisters, and points were allotted accordingly. Competitions were held, including Rangoli, Drawing, Hairstyle, Street play, and Essay writing. The camp concluded with a closing ceremony featuring the blessings of the Holy Eucharist, with Rev. Fr. Vishwas Pereira, SDB, as the main celebrant. He shared several inspiring messages. Prizes were distributed to competition winners, and Sr. Teresa Plathara presented certificates, while Sir Suhas K., a P.T. teacher of Auxilium, awarded the trophy. Everyone enjoyed the camp and learned many useful things for daily living.
