Child Sexual Abuse Awareness for Girls in Dahanu

On December 4, 2017, Ms. Nisha Bhanji, Program Coordinator of Sahayini Social Development Centre, along with BSW students of Nirmala Niketan College (Ms. Sangeeta and Mr. Amaljith Jose), visited Dahanu - Dongarpada Zilla Parishad School. They conducted sessions for Middle School girls on Child Sexual Abuse, which included topics like good touch and bad touch and featured the informative video ‘Komal’ on child abuse. The girls were attentive, as not all in rural areas are aware of such issues. Through the questioning, it was clear they had understood and become aware. Finally, a presentation was given on the POCSO Act and its implications.
