Anmol Dhamaka 2018 Annual Event for 850 Children

The Anmol Dhamaka held on January 7, 2018, attracted around $850$ children from different Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Belagavi City. Bus service was sponsored by Mr. Saji Kutti, KLE Ayurvedic Hospital, Trinity College, and Hindolco Company. Around $10$ NGOs and their staff were present for this annual event. All received warm hospitality and a delicious breakfast of sheera, upma, and tea. Various games were organized, including Spider Web, Bowling, Aim the Goal, Shoe Lace, Searching the Lock, and Arranging the Nuts, with attractive prizes. Children from different categories, including blind, deaf and mute, mentally-challenged, street children, and government school children, participated and enjoyed the games. The inauguration began with a prayer dance by students of Auxilium School, Nandgad. Anmol Tangudhama children performed a colorful welcome dance. The dignitaries invited to the dais—Chief Guest Mr. K. Kumarvelu (Joint President Unit Head of Hindolco Company), HR Vishwas Shinde, Guest of Honour Sr. Moksha Anthonappa (Social Development Coordinator of Mumbai Province), Sr. Monica Shera (Superior of Auxilium Convent - Nandgad), Mr. Murli Kundapur (Friends Foundation), Mr. Mohan Kumar (Ray of Hope), Mr. Sarfraz Katib (Make them Smile), Mr. Satish (Incredible Belgaum), Mr. David (Principal of Trinity College), and Mr. Sanjay Porwal (Businessman)—were welcomed with a shawl, flowers, and an Anmol souvenir. Chief Guest Mr. K. Kumarvelu, who sponsored the use of Hindolco Hall, vessels, chairs, and vehicles, thanked the organizers for the opportunity to assist Anmol Dhamaka. Sr. Moksha Anthonappa shared the success story of Sharada and Manisha from Anmol Mumbai, who came from Latur after the earthquake. Both girls benefited from Anmol facilities, completed Standard XII; one is now a company Manager and the other a nurse, serving as an example for other children. The mentally challenged children from Ankur performed yoga. Mr. Shakeel Khadri, Lecturer of ITI College – Belgaum, conducted a session on Swachh Bharat Awareness through song and speech, noting that despite Gandhi’s pre-independence dream of cleanliness, the responsibility lies with each individual, not just the government. A large lunch with a variety of dishes was served in a nearby hall, followed by cultural performances (dance and songs) by the participants, including the differently-abled children, which was a feast for the audience. Participation certificates were awarded to all performers. Children were served Bhelpuri, Ice Cream, and Frutti, and received takeaway gifts (fruits and a towel).
