Agarbathi Making Workshop and Empowerment Session, Bableshwar

📅 January 12, 2018 • 📍 Maria Bhavan,  Bableshwar

Central Bank conducted a $10$-day Workshop on Agarbathi (incense stick) making from January 2–12, 2018, thanks to Mr. Pavse (Manager of Central Bank) and Mrs. Shinde (in-charge of these workshops). Mrs. Sunita Tribhuvan and her team taught the women how to make handmade agarbathis, along with instruction on packing and marketing them. The process was slow but engaging, and the women showed great interest. Besides learning the skill, they attended input sessions on becoming strong women, bank schemes, and motivational games designed to boost their confidence. They felt welcomed and comfortable at Maria Bhavan, Bableshwar. At the Valedictory function, it was encouraging to see many illiterate women receiving certificates. One woman shared, "Today I feel free and happy because I have gained confidence and can stand here and speak; thanks for helping us come out of our homes and leave aside our daily routine." All attendees appreciated the hard work put in by Sr. Catherine Pereira, the Community Animator, to help them grow.
