World Environment Day

On 6th June 2026, around 50 Neighbourhood Children’s Parliament (N.C.P.) children from Khedpa, Karbharipada, Jokhimpada, and Manipada, along with 3 teachers, celebrated World Environment Day.
The programme began with a village rally, spreading awareness on saving water and planting trees. This was followed by a tree plantation drive. Mr. Jahiram Raut addressed the children on the importance of protecting Mother Earth and encouraged them to adopt eco-friendly practices such as reducing plastic use, conserving water, and keeping the environment clean.
The celebration helped the children understand their responsibility towards protecting nature. Sr. Shaila D'Monte thanked everyone for their active participation, and each child was given a plant to nurture. The programme concluded with a Thanksgiving Prayer to the Creator God.
