Children's Day celebration
📅 November 14, 2024 • 📍 Sahayini, wadala
We celebrated Children's Day with great excitement and enthusiasm, welcoming 170 children to a day full of fun, learning, and joy. The celebrations included competitions such as essay writing and drawing, along with entertaining stall games organized by 15 dedicated volunteers. Children enjoyed the games immensely and received valuable prizes, which added to the thrill of the day. Adding to the excitement, Ms. Manisha Parmar, Director, dressed up as a clown to surprise the children and engage them in a playful yet meaningful manner. Through her interaction, she created awareness about Child Rights, explaining the four main rights of every child, making the session both enjoyable and educational. The children also received guidance and motivation from the team, helping them understand their potential and rights in a fun, interactive way. The celebration was made even more special with the generous contribution of 250 snack boxes sponsored by Mrs. Bianca D'Souza, ensuring that every child had a delightful treat. The entire event was meticulously organized by Mrs. Adel, Mrs. Linnet D'Souza, field staff Mrs. Rashmi, office staff Ms. Lianna Gonsalves, teachers, and the 15 volunteers, whose efforts made the day memorable for everyone.
The Children's Day celebration was not only joyful but also highly meaningful. The children actively participated in competitions and games, boosting their creativity, confidence, and social interaction skills. The awareness session on Child Rights empowered them with knowledge and understanding of their fundamental rights. The day strengthened the bond between children, staff, volunteers, and donors, instilling a sense of community, care, and shared responsibility. It left the children feeling valued, motivated, and inspired, making the celebration a truly memorable experience.
