Activities during the Year 2023-24

During the year, capacity-building trainings were conducted to deepen the knowledge of Self Help Group women in leadership, advocacy and lobbying, financial literacy, bookkeeping, market networking, and income generation programs. This year, particular emphasis was placed on creating awareness on the formation of a Federation, advocacy, and lobbying in all the groups. The Women’s Day celebrations were held regionally across four states and a union territory: Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The theme for International Women’s Day, "Invest in women: accelerate progress," was prominently highlighted throughout the events. A total of 2,193 women participated in these celebrations across the province, representing a diverse range of backgrounds including rural, tribal, and urban slum communities.
