In February 2021, a strategic meeting was held with the International Justice Mission (IJM) to discuss rehabilitation strategies for trafficked girls and to establish networking linkages with AMRAT.
Sr. Moksha Anthonappa, Coordinator for Migrant and Anti-Human Trafficking Ministry, actively participated in AMRAT WhatsApp groups, webinars, and Zoom meetings with Mumbai-based NGOs. Though the Migrants’ Mela could not be held due to COVID-19, World Migrants Day was celebrated with the following activities:
• A circus show for migrant children at Wadala and Pali Hill
• Ration distribution for auto-rickshaw drivers in Bandra
• Grocery support for widows at Bandstand and Pali Hill
On January 31, 2021, Sr. Moksha and volunteer Kamlesh Pal were felicitated by the Don Bosco Past Pupils’ Unit for their dedicated service. Sr. Moksha was honored as a COVID-19 Warrior for her exceptional support to the poor and marginalized communities of Wadala and Bandra.
