VOLUNTEERS OF SAHAYINI

This was one of the dreams of Sr. Moksha to form a volunteer’s group. During the year, slowly and steadily we set up a youth volunteer group. Around 22 volunteers gave their service willingly and generously on different occasions. Sahayini organized formative talks for them to understand the role and responsibilities of Volunteers. On 8th December 2019, Ms. Melez Kurral, member of VIDES from Belgium gave Orientation talk to motivate the volunteers of Don Bosco and her role as a member.
Volunteers gave service throughout the year in terms of planning and executing the activities and programs at Sahayini in various centres of the province. Volunteers animated, assisted in organizing programs at Khedpa- BalMela, Children’s Day at Kunegao, Diwali at Chembur beggars’ home, Village work and football games at Khedpa- Sindoni, Gurunanak Jayanti celebration at Wadala, Christmas celebration at Wadala, hospitalized, cared and visited the sick, purchased medicines for the sick and materials from the market for various programs and activities of Sahayini. They also rescued stranded passengers from the railway station and reached them to their destination, repatriated a runaway boy with his parents. The volunteers even assisted to obtain death certificates and bury the abandoned dead bodies.
Sahayini provided T-Shirts with name printed and they were worn on all occasions while volunteering for activities. Sahayini gratefully acknowledges the voluntary service of Pooja Patel, Laxmi Pawar, Suman Patel, Merry Gaikwad, Prabhakar Nadar, Deepak Singh, Kamlesh Pal, Ravi, Madhu, Chanchal, Ashok, Lakhan, Sudhir, Rinku, Jhaved, Wasim, Vivek, Rizwaan, Anil, D.Ravi, Monu Singh, Mangesh and John Raman.
