Neighborhood Children’s Parliament (NCP)

This year the centers have made their efforts for revival of the NCP groups. Region wise action plans were done and the activities were carried out like motivating the children to join NCP, Formation of NCP, Role and responsibility of leaders, Characteristic of a good leaders, Child Rights. There are 46 NCP regular functioning groups. There are 994 children who are regular members of the NCP with their roles and responsibilities. The girl leaders are very active and their total number is 561 and boy leaders are 437. The NCP plays great role wherein all the children are called to be leaders and the NCP concept provides an opportunity to exercise their role as leader. In NCP children have learnt to take up small responsibilities and leadership and even they are taught to tackle some social issues regarding children.
NCPs in our centers have created a special platform for the children to become protagonists, to know and acquire their rights and fulfill their duties. The trainings and workshop have made an impact on the children, it provides sufficient knowledge to know their main goal of belonging to the NCP groups.
