Intense coverage on Child Protection Policy by Child Protection Committee, Belgaum

On October 3, 2015, Mr. Vaibhav Gote and Mr. Shivaji, Resource Persons from the Child Protection Committee, Belgaum, gave an input session with a slide show to 88 parents of Auxilium Convent School, Nandgad - Belgaum. They spoke on the importance of protecting the child from abuse and enlightened them on the POCSO Act. Mr. Vaibhav Gote also addressed 134 children of Auxilium on Child Protection Policy later that same day. Furthermore, Mr. Gote delivered a talk on Child Protection Policy and Child Development to 69 students in Education College, Mahantesh Nagar, and again to more than 100 people from the Kalkamba slum area, Belgaum, on October 9. On October 23, he addressed about 90 personnel of KBS School, Belgaum, on the Child Protection Policy, emphasizing Child Development and Traumatization. The talks on this critical issue, initiated by Sr. Anita Gracias fma, were well-received and are expected to be effective.
