📅 January 24, 2016 • 📍 Ashish Bhavan, Kune

On January 24, 2016, six students from St. Xavier’s College, under the guidance of Professor Fr. Roy Pereira, conducted a class on "Values for Better Life" for the primary school children of Ashish Bhavan – Kune. They covered topics such as Goodness, Unity, Sharing, and Helpfulness, along with conducting games and teaching action songs, which the children enjoyed. Later, at the invitation of Mr. Ganpat Goje, Trust Manager, the children participated in the Krishna Mandir IV Annual Day program organized by the Radhakrishna Trust. The children were happy to perform a couple of dances and found it a positive experience to meet other children. Gifts were distributed to all children, and dinner was served. The children enjoyed the day. On Republic Day, a short program was organized at the Kunal Katkari Vidhya Mandir School – Kunegaon. Mr. Kamal Philip Waghmare, the newly-elected Gram Panchayat member, hoisted the national flag, with Mr. Jana Anand Waghmare, also a Panchayat member, present. Following a well-executed March Past, the children performed two lively dances. The Chief Guest appreciated the little ones’ performance and, in a brief message, exhorted them to stand for justice and truth, to dream the impossible, and to learn to bear pain courageously.
