Picnics for children from various centers

The picnic season included two events. On February 18, 2016, approximately 74 children from Rabable and Koparkhairane enjoyed a picnic around the Koparkhairane church. The parish priest, Fr. Terry Pinto, joined the event, making his parish hall and other facilities readily available for the children. The generous Mrs. Jeroo Lakadwalla, who sponsored the delicious meal, personally attended to see the children enjoy and participate in games and dance. The children were then taken to see the Marathi movie, “Nutsamrat.” The event was made possible through the support of many good people. A second picnic was held on February 20 at the Golden Pagoda in Gorai for about 103 children from the Anmol out-reach centers of Sewree, Wadala bridge, Kane nagar, and the Wadala evening school. It was an enriching day spent exploring the place and participating in various events such as meditation and film viewing. The children had a great time, thanks also to the kindness of Mr. Roland Castellino, who provided the snacks.
