Day 1 - Capacity Building Workshop for FMA-INDIA VTC Facilitators

The National Development Forum (NDF) Meet, themed "Capacity Building," was held from March 17–21, 2018. The workshop was organized for FMA–VTC Coordinators from six provinces: Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Shillong, Trichy, and Guwahati, with 22 participants in attendance. The meeting commenced with a Praise and Worship session led by Mr. Schneider Mani of the Catholic Charismatic Group. Sr. Hilda Braganza (Superior, MYC – Wadala) delivered a welcome address on behalf of the Mumbai Province. Sr. Isabella (NDF Coordinator) explained the meeting's purpose, and Sr. Moksha Mary (Director, Sahayini Social Development Society) offered thanks to the VTC sector participants. The day’s recommendations centered on using the workshop's inputs to professionally advance youth employment efforts. The first technical session was led by Mr. Antony Prabu and Web-Designing students (Mr. Ejaz Khan, Ms. Vrushali Etambe, and Mr. Siddhesh Devrukhkar) from Sahayini Social Development Society. They demonstrated how to create a website using Wix.com, emphasizing its user-friendly interface that allows for website creation without writing code. After the break, Mr. Prabu provided detailed explanations of the Internet's use and various applications. Participants were encouraged to explore these online tools. The final demonstration focused on using Google Hangouts for video conferencing. Participants were highly grateful to the resource persons for the immediate and practical knowledge gained. The community of Guwahati extended a final thank you for the learning received on the first day.
