Rakshabandhan celebration at Ashish Bhavan, Kune

On August 18, 2016, Ashish Bhavan - Kune celebrated Rakshabandhan Day for approximately 60 village children and boarders (girls and boys). Miss Daisy Waghmare, a remedial class teacher, explained the significance of this popular celebration, which symbolizes the love between a brother and sister. Each girl tied a Rakhiāhandmade by the girls themselvesāto a boy, symbolizing a bond of protection. The program concluded with a sweet dish. The children enjoyed the celebration and departed happily.
