Maria Bhavan, Bableshwar, honors the girl child

On September 18, 2016, approximately 46 children, including both girls and boys, gathered at Maria Bhavan, Bableshwar, to celebrate and honor the Girl Child. The mixed-gender event served as an awareness session for all. The boys honored the girls by acknowledging and understanding the challenges faced by them. The reality of difficulties experienced by many girls was discussed, making the girls feel special and recognized. The program included awareness videos, group work, games, and snacks. Every participant left enriched and pledged to honor the girl child. It was encouraging to see the children's awareness of the reality and their great interest in wanting to initiate positive change.
