On September 17, 2016, 57 girls from Ahmednagar and Bableshwar attended the Teens Gather program at Maria Bhavan. After breakfast, the event began with an inauguration and prayer moment prepared by Sr. Collette Gonsalves. Sr. Catherine Pereira welcomed the guests and speakers. Fr. Vilas Sonavane, the Parish Priest, delivered an introductory talk, encouraging the girls to be mindful of current social situations and to prepare for a better future by living life well. Ms. Shaileja Sable, a nurse, spoke about the importance of courage, adolescent health issues, self-care, and the need for self-sufficiency. Sr. Catherine Pereira discussed potential abuses and provided concrete examples to help the girls become aware and prepared. Sr. Joanna Lobo addressed Adolescents and their problems using a presentation and videos, encouraging them to process their feelings and manage daily stress. After the meal, the girls enjoyed dancing and group games, which facilitated interaction. The day included a brief but relevant evaluation, followed by prize distribution, snacks, and a small gift for each girl. It was a day well-spent.
