My career program training for facilitators
📅 September 20, 2016 • 📍 Mumbai Central
Quest Alliance organized a four-day residential MY CAREER training program for facilitators from various NGOs across Maharashtra and Goa, held at the YMCA International in Mumbai Central from September 20–23, 2016. Thirteen members from the Sahayini Social Development Society greatly benefited from the program. The primary objective of the training was to introduce methods for facilitating career and life skills, thereby forging a strong link between learning and livelihood. It provided new ideas and skills for creating effective lessons and resources to deliver career and life skills, leading to improved learning outcomes and better preparing students for the world of work and life in general. Various topics were covered, beginning with Self through self-awareness activities. Another key module, World of Work, focused on helping students consolidate market research and explore different career dimensions to establish the importance of alternative career paths for career planning. All participants expressed sincere gratitude to Quest Alliance for the well-organized and fulfilling training, and to Godrej for bearing the entire cost.
