Youth Day at Maria Bhavan, Bableshwar: Building Yourself for the Future

On January 26, 2017, 22 youth gathered at Maria Bhavan – Bableshwar for a day focused on the theme: “Building Yourself for the Future”. Sr. Catherine Pereira, the Animator, welcomed them with the message: “Make the best of your youth, it’s a time to learn and give in future.” The first resource person, Fr. George D’Abreo Sdb (Director of Don Bosco Gramin Vikas – Khedgaon, Ahmednagar), spoke about the Value System of Young People and the evolving Situation of Families, emphasizing that their choices dictate their future. The second resource person, Fr. McEnroe Lopes Sdb (Youth Animator of Don Bosco, Mumbai), discussed Values in Society, the Foundation of Life, Belief Systems, and the Individual's Role in Society. The sessions were made interactive and informative using video clips, group chart preparation, newspaper exercises, and brainstorming. Participants found the day enriching and expressed a desire for more such sessions.
